JOURNEY

The time went so slowly in the desert - especially when the temperature reached 50 degrees. It felt as though time itself had stopped. I remember asking myself how I got so lucky to be here: in the middle of endless dunes, with the softest, most golden sand, surrounded by such silence that it pressed against my ears.

I opened myself to life and let the heat of the desert guide me inward, on a journey within myself. I was 24 years old, with the feeling that the world was my oyster… and it still is. The desert taught me a strength I didn’t know I had and showed me how capable I am of adapting, even in the harshest conditions.

This painting is called “Journey.” It is a textured, contemporary work that captures the solitary passage across vast golden sands. A lone figure moves among sweeping dunes, embodying resilience, contemplation, and the quiet strength that comes from perseverance. The piece reflects both the immensity of the desert and the inner landscapes we all must cross in search of meaning.
